Experience the Difference
at Summit Academy - Bluffdale
At Summit Academy, we provide a rigorous educational environment based on the principles of high academic achievement and specialized instruction for the benefit of all students.
Flexible Ability Groups
In order to give each student at Summit an experience specialized for them, our teachers meet each week to discuss how each student is acquiring the skills being taught. Then, with the help of trained instructors, they divide the students into small groups to extend/enrich their learning or provide intervention to help each student learn concepts they are missing. This program is unique in that it allows us to set high expectations and rigor for ALL students.
Small Class Sizes
Our class sizes are small so students can get the individual attention they need from their teachers. We also have 15 instructors that support teachers in the classroom and as well as during flexible grouping time. This allows teachers to have the supports and small groups necessary to really grow our students.
At Summit, we value teachers that love their students and are passionate about education. In order to foster the high academic achievement we believe in, we know the number one key is to hire, support, and foster the professional learning of our teachers. Our teachers work together to make sure that we are meeting the needs of students in every way. And yes, we may be a little bit biased, but we are confident we have some of the best teachers in the nation.
At Summit Academy-Bluffdale, we love our students! We believe strongly in caring for the whole student and have resources to support our students not only academically, but as a whole person. For this reason, we offer behavioral tech supports, a robust special education department, and social emotional curriculum implemented in each classroom. We also value parents and the key role they play in any student's education. We are fortunate to have wonderful parents that work with us in a partnership to help our students excel at the highest level. We have a open door policy for parents coming into the school and teachers often ask them to help in classrooms.
